Darren Sunley- Club Chairman

Darren continues to be at the helm at the top of the club as Chairman.

A Knaresborough native, he joined with the club struggling in NCEL Division One during their Dene Park days and has seen it all during his time with the club.

He played a pivotal role in our re-location to Haworth Park which sparked a renaissance of the club. We then celebrated that move with success on the pitch as we won the NCEL Division One title the season after.

The club preserved its NCEL Premier Division status against all odds including a twelve point deduction and having at some point to play four games in a week. The club then dropped back into Division One twelve months later when they lost a final day winner takes all shootout at Goole AFC.

Since then, the club have had to deal with two Covid disrupted seasons and are now hoping to have a completed campaign this time round.

Dave Reader- Vice Chairman/Club Secretary

Dave joined the club a couple of years ago when he stepped into the role following a successful two year spell with East Yorkshire Carnegie (now FC Humber United).

Dave also played an integral part in helping AFC Rovers gain promotion to the Humber Premier League for the first time prior to his spell with East Yorkshire Carnegie. He’s a very well respected figure within local football.

His time with AFC Rovers also saw them reach the Quarter Final of the East Riding Senior Cup in their first crack at the competition.

We secured Dave’s services after Lee Myers departed the club after offering ten years of service to Rangers.

Dave was seen as the ideal fit for the club and officially joined the club two years ago.

East Yorkshire Carnegie duo Leon Sewell and Chris Burke then soon followed Dave to form our first team management duo.

Adam Pardoe- Match Day Secretary

Adam has been with the club for a number of years now having originally played for our reserves. Adam offered to swap his boots for a foot pedal and became our regular home match day turnstile operator.

Adam did pick up playing again in 2018/2019 and was called up to play in the first team in NCEL Premier Division games against Worksop Town in front of 400 fans, and Liversedge. He even claims Joe Walton is the toughest player he has ever played against from that Liversedge game!

Adam subsequently returned to the turnstile after this and then became our match day secretary from this season onwards.

Michael Harker- Programme Editor

Michael has been our programme editor for a number of years.

He’s been a crucial figure in the background as he’s ensured that our match day programmes are of a consistently good standard and ultimately a great read for all spectators!

Michael’s hard work and effort is appreciated by all at the club.

Oliver Harsley- Press Officer/Media Manager/Website Editor

Oliver, or Ollie as he has become known, has been with the club for over four years and is responsible for the club’s social media presence and is also our resident interviewer and reporter. Ollie has also helped to get the club’s website back up and running.

At just 22 years old, his work has drawn praise from outside the club as he contributed articles to Outside The 92 and has just completed his MA degree at the University of Hull.

Ollie has always had a keen interest in writing and he doesn’t let his Asperger’s hinder his love of the game and Hall Road Rangers.

Ollie initially got involved with non-league football as a blog writer for Hull United six years ago when he was a disenchanted teenage Hull City fan. It was here where he met Neil Winsor.

Ollie then soon agreed to join Rangers six months after Neil joined the club. His contributions to us have been invaluable over the last four years and, because of this, he has since matured into a key member of the backroom team at Haworth Park.

Charlie Bangs- Graphics Designer/Matchday Announcer

Charlie is our youngest volunteer and has been helping out for a little while now.

He can be heard on the PA system on match days at Haworth Park and assists with creating graphics which are used on the club’s social media accounts.

As well as this, Charlie helps out in the clubhouse when functions take place and has also had some experience in operating the turnstile on match days.

Darren Thompson- Photographer

Darren joined Rangers a couple of years ago and he’s provided plenty of excellent photos in his time with us.

Tommo is very much part of the club and we all appreciate his hard work and effort.

Kevin Revell – Turnstile Operator

Kev is a well known and highly respected figure in local non-league football and he joined the club from East Hull FC (now FC Humber United) in the close season.

He’s already become a much treasured volunteer at Hall Road thanks to his passionate and enthusiastic nature.

He provides brilliant work before, during and after home games and also operates the turnstile at Haworth Park.
