Hall Road Rangers face East Riding Rangers at King George V Playing Fields on Saturday.
Fresh from their 3-1 victory over St Mary’s AFC last weekend, Hall Road are aiming to follow that up with a second successive league victory. A win would see Hall Road leapfrog East Riding Rangers in the league table.
East Riding Rangers currently occupy third place and have collected 19 points from 10 league games. They’ve won their last two league games and a third straight victory could lift them into second place.
In addition to this, ERR are the second highest scorers in the league this season having racked up a tally of 27 goals thus far. The vast majority of these have been contributed by Joel Chapman, Craig Dibb and Josh Mansfield. All three have five league goals to their names.
Hall Road joint manager Leon Sewell expects an entertaining contest between two confident sides:
“We’re looking forward to travelling through to Cottingham to take on third placed East Riding Rangers.
They’ve just beaten top of the league Sculcoates Amateurs and confidence will be high within their ranks.
We’ll also be approaching the game full of confidence after our 3-1 home win last Saturday adding to our previous two draws in the league.”
