Hall Road Rangers lock horns with North Ferriby FC at the Dransfield Stadium on Tuesday night when they contest an East Riding Senior Cup Second Round tie.
North Ferriby come into this game on the back of three successive wins against Penistone Church, Thackley and Handsworth respectively. They sit at the top of the NCEL Premier Division table.
Contrastingly, Rangers are looking for a much improved performance after losing 5-2 at East Riding Rangers in their last game. This defeat saw them drop down to seventh place in the Humber Premier League Premier Division table.
The last time North Ferriby and Rangers faced each other was in December 2021 when they were both NCEL Division One sides. This resulted in a 1-2 victory for Rangers thanks to goals from Reece Moody and Chris Spinks. Jackson Jowett got on the scoresheet for North Ferriby.
There are plenty of dangerous attacking threats in the North Ferriby squad. Danny Earl and Josh Whiteley are their joint top scorers as they both have seven goals. Meanwhile, Danny Buttle and Danny East have six goals to their names.
Rangers first team head coach Matt Gray says that the players are fully prepared for the challenge:
“This week has obviously been a little strange with the departure of Leon to Goole. We wish him all the best in his new role, but it hasn’t disrupted our preparations.
Tuesday’s game provides a tough challenge against a strong North Ferriby side who are in good form, but it’s a challenge that the lads are all ready and excited for.
We’ve prepared well this week with two good training sessions. The boys have all worked hard and applied themselves well to what the management team have asked of them.
They’ll be ready and raring to go on Tuesday evening.”
