Hall Road Rangers are in NCEL Premier Division action this Saturday as they welcome Hemsworth Miners Welfare to Haworth Park. With last weekend’s game against Parkgate being postponed, Rangers have had an extra week to prepare for this match which should put them in good stead. However, The Wells arrive in East Yorkshire as the in form side in the NCEL Premier Division after 5 wins and 1 draw in their last 6 games.

Hall Road are looking to get their home form back on track and won’t be intimidated by Hemsworth sitting in 5th place in the NCEL Premier Division table. It is a perfect opportunity for Rangers to test themselves against such highly opposition and it will be an indicator of how far they have come so far this season as Christmas approaches.

Hemsworth will have bags of confidence coming into this game because of their recent form but also through the fact they have won 5 of their 11 away games so far this season. Their manager Wayne Benn will be hoping his side match the standards they have set recently when they take on Hall Road this Saturday. The Wells won 4-2 in their last NCEL Premier Division match at Bridlington Town last weekend with Adam Hayton scoring a hat trick and Nash Connolly grabbing the other goal. Connolly is Hemsworth’s top scorer with 14 goals and he will most definitely have to be kept quiet by the Hall Road defence this Saturday.

Hall Road boss Bill Gill is pleased to have some of his key players back in contention for this Saturday’s match. “We look forward to having Danny Norton, James Piercy, Chris Spinks and Jack Griffin back on Saturday”, Gill said.

Gill is also keen to stress the challenge his players face against the NCEL Premier Division’s in form side. “We need to focus on the job in hand and aim for the 3 points at home against a very well organised Hemsworth side. They had a great result last Saturday against Bridlington Town and showed why they are a top 6 team in this league”, Gill concluded.
