Hall Road Rangers take on Hornsea Town at Hollis Recreation Ground in a top five clash on Saturday.
Both teams have identical records in the Humber Premier League Premier Division so far this season. After seven games played, Rangers and Hornsea have won four and lost three.
Rangers are aiming to bounce back from their home defeat against Hedon Rangers last Saturday. Meanwhile, Hornsea come into this game on the back of two successive defeats in league and cup against LIV Supplies and Hessle Sporting Club respectively.
After playing four home games thus far, Hornsea have picked up one victory and lost the other three. Conversely, Rangers have won two and lost two on the road.
There are a number of goal threats within the Hornsea squad. Tom Whiting is Hornsea’s top scorer with three goals. Elsewhere, Connor Boyd, Joe Stannard and Luka Suluburic all have two goals to their names. Boyd is also a former Rangers player.
Rangers joint boss Leon Sewell expects it to be a very good contest:
“Saturday afternoon brings another challenge for us and another opportunity to go after three points.
Hornsea is never an easy place to visit. It’ll be a great game as both teams sit on 12 points and Hornsea being +three goal difference better than us.
We’ve got a handful of players out injured and hopefully one returning from injury will be included in the squad for Saturday.”
