Hall Road Rangers face St Mary’s AFC at Haworth Park this weekend.
Rangers are aiming to show a positive reaction after conceding a very late equaliser against Hessle Rangers last Saturday. They could move up to third place in the league table with a win.
Contrastingly, St Mary’s are third bottom and have lost seven of their 10 league games this season. This comes after they gained promotion from Humber Premier League Division One in the 2021/22 campaign. If St Mary’s were to claim all three points, it’d leave them six points adrift of Rangers.
Reece Shipley provides the biggest goal threat in the St Mary’s squad. Shipley is the club’s top scorer this season with three goals to his name.
Rangers joint boss Leon Sewell says that his side need to be at their best on a more consistent basis:
“We’re well rested and we were back in training on Wednesday night. We’ve just got to go again and it’s as simple as that.
I said it a few weeks ago, it’s a tough league. Everybody’s having a good go at it and nobody’s chucking the towel in. That’s something we need to realise pretty quickly.”
