Hall Road Rangers will aim to get back to winning ways in the league this weekend when they travel to Hessle Sporting Club.
After losing their last two league games against Hedon Rangers and South Cave United, Hall Road know that improvements are needed in order to move back up the league table. A victory on Saturday would be the perfect response.
Hessle Sporting have made a good start this season after gaining promotion from Humber Premier League Division One in the last campaign. They’ve played five league games thus far and have won one, drawn three and lost one.
Possessing the second best attack in the division, Hessle Sporting have scored a total of 13 goals. The vast majority of these have come from Sam Leach. Leach is the top scorer in the league as a whole with six goals already to his name and was Hessle Sporting’s top scorer last season with 23 goals.
Rangers boss Leon Sewell expects another difficult challenge for his side:
“I’m looking forward to seeing the lads back in action on Saturday afternoon.
The lads owe the club a performance and I’ll be doing my utmost to ensure that we are well prepared and play the way that we set them up to do so.
It’ll be another challenge for us as Hessle Sporting have made great strides over the last few seasons and have some very good players in their squad.”
