Hall Road Rangers face off against local rivals Hull United on Saturday afternoon at Steve Prescott Sports Centre.
It’s set to be another hard fought derby match and it presents an opportunity for Rangers to do the double over the Citizens. The previous league meeting between the teams this season took place last October in which Rangers earned the bragging rights with a narrow 1-0 victory.
Hull United currently sit in ninth place in the league table and are winless in their last three league games. They’ve had six home games so far this campaign of which they’ve won three, drawn one and lost two.
Meanwhile, Rangers have had a mixed bag of away results thus far. Out of nine games on their travels, they’ve had four wins and four defeats as well as one draw.
Giving his pre-match thoughts, Rangers manager Chris Burke said:
“After the inevitable of the game being called off last week due to the weather, we’re itching to get back to it with the away fixture against Hull United.
With a few missing due to work commitments and injuries, it’ll be a reshuffled squad. However, the lads have been ticking over and they had a good, hard session on Wednesday at training.
If they listen to the instructions given and apply themselves properly, I’m confident we can get something from the game. I look forward to seeing you all at Steve Prescott Sports Centre on Saturday at 2pm.”
