HALL Road Rangers are on their travels again tomorrow when they travel to Leeds to face Albion Sports in the NCEL Premier Division (3pm)
They will be looking to back up their stunning away win at Handsworth Parramore from Tuesday night where a Danny Chambers hat-trick and Chris Spinks sixth goal of the season saw them record a sensational 4-1 away win.
It was no more then Hall Road deserved on the night and Rangers boss Bill Gill was full of praise for how the players performed and their attitude
“The main credit goes to the lads.” said Gill.
“They were a different gear, and stood out and dominated, the officials (of Handsworth Parramore) quoted we are the best side they had seen this year, even at Evostik level which was very rewarding.”
Gill also went on to add:
“We had spent days looking at the tough fixture and how we would set up and approach the game and changing personnel a few times after getting good info on our opposition.
It was Tuesday morning when we finally decided and it could not have gone any better.
We had overloads in the right area and adapted to formation change on transition of the ball superbly.”
With that result no doubt comes raised expectations, but Hall Road will be expecting another tough NCEL Premier Division task and will be mindful not to get carried away.
Danny Chambers is in red-hot goal scoring form and has netted five times in his last two outings, whilst Sam Belcher in defence also drew widespread praise for his performance in the rout.
They will face an Albion Sports side who lie just one place below Rangers after nine games, so another three points will see Hall Road open up a gap and almost certainly climb further from their current position of thirteenth.
