Hall Road Rangers return to Humber Premier League Premier Division action on Saturday when they welcome Reckitts AFC to Haworth Park.

Rangers are looking to extend their winning run in the league to eight games. If they’re successful in doing so, it’d set a new club record for the most successive league wins in a season. They’ve already matched the current record of seven straight league wins which was achieved in both the 1997/98 and 2007/08 campaigns respectively.

Reckitts sit at the bottom of the league table, but picked up a 1-2 victory against Hull United in their last league game. Therefore, they’re set to be awkward opposition for Rangers to deal with.

Offering his pre-match thoughts, Rangers boss Chris Burke said:

“After not playing for what seems like an age, we hopefully return, weather permitting, to league action this coming weekend against Reckitts at home. We’ll be looking to do the double over them after coming out on top in the return fixture at Hull Uni earlier in the season.

The lads have been frustrated with the lack of games, so will hopefully use that frustration wisely to put in a solid performance. We’re under no illusions that, regardless of their league position, it won’t be an easy game by any stretch.

We’ve been nicely ticking over, so come 2pm on Saturday we’ll be ready to go and hopefully get another three points on the board.”
